Tenacity of Bolton

Welcome to Bolton School's tradition of excellence.

From the Bow - Tenacity of Bolton

Tenacity of Bolton is a venture by Bolton School which is managed by Patterdale Hall.

This project was started in 1998 as plans were formulated to celebrate the new millennium. Over the next nine years work went on by the students within the Boys' Division during their technology lessons to gradually build a Sail Training vessel. 2007 saw the completion of phase one of this bold project as the hull was lifted from Bolton School and transported by low loader to Glasson Basin Marina, Lancaster.

Tenacity of Bolton is a purpose built 60 foot ferro cement Sail Training ketch built to pass MCA Coding standards. She is coded to take 10 crew and her 2 professional crew.

Please take time to view the following pages to get a taste of what life on board is like, we also have a blog which the students on board update each day so take a look at, Tenacity of Bolton's Blogspot.

Come and sail with us and experience the magic of coastal sailing, living and socialising in this unique environment.  Click here to contact us.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.

Skipper
