Life on Board

Skipper, Mate, and a willing crew will explore a range of sea areas along our coast. Of course the wind and tides will to some extent dictate where we can go but Piel Island, The Isle of Man, Anglesey, Liverpool Bay and Ireland are all within reach during the week.

The crew will receive training in all aspects of manning the boat. This will include lots of hands-on deck work, trimming the sails, steering the boat, handling the mooring warps as well as involvement in other areas of life on board such as navigating the boat, keeping her shipshape down below and catering for the whole crew.

Tenacity is a large yacht with a lot of comfortable features. As yachts go we have plenty of storage space on board, but this isn't a hotel or hostel.  Crew will have a small cave locker, small drawer and bunk each for storage of personal kit and will need to be disciplined in looking after their belongings. Personal kit needs to be packed in a small soft hold all that can be squashed into a locker while on board.  Please take a look at the layout of Tenacity in the picture at the bottom right of this page for a better idea of the accommodation below decks.

Come and sail with us and experience the magic of coastal sailing, living and socialising in this unique environment.
